Parsons defense undoes most of his offense Ariza plays both ends and is a more reliable 3pt shooter

Parsons is younger though. More upside. We'll see if he can improve his defense and be more reliable offensively.

Two years, not much difference. Sorry this had to happen on Chandler Parsons Night tbh. Dirk is in my top 3 favorite NBA player and I feel for him having to take less for Parsons.

almost 3 years older and he is who he's gonna be at this point, this is only Parsons' 4th year in the league and he's gotten better every year so far.

Parsons can improve once he realizes what his role is and that he isn't a star. He is going to struggle more offensively due to the Mavs aren't really an uptempo team, he got a lot of his points last year on fast breaks, being wide open. He is going to work harder to score.

I don't think Cuban thought that. It was a move designed at ing over Houston's cap space, because he thought they would match the whole time.

Mavs look like complete ass tbh lol. You feel watching them that they have no feel for one another at all......... They will take a lot of time to gel. Too bad for them though....... That puts them at 7/8 seed

No. Cuban wanted to stick it to Morey for asking about trading for Dirk. Dallas had a verbal agreement with Lance Stephenson before Rockets decided not to match.

True. Unfortunately, it helped Morey as he got Ariza for half the price. A complete steal.

i love Dirk's game too ...and it's dumb that duncan and Dirk gotta take cuts so unproven "stars" can get paid.

I don't know about Dirk, but Duncan took a pay cut to benefit the team as a whole. Parker got his $12 mil and Splitter ($10 mil), Diaw ($7.5 mil), Patty ($4 mil). And let's not forget Danny & Bellineli combined make $7 mil.

Tim could've signed a max extention prior to 2012, but he didn't for the betterment of the cap. He could have made Kobe money ($28 - $30 mil) the past 3 years tbh. Luckily Pop & RC advised against it.

BTW the whole Spurs fan base would be cursing Tim if he was making Kobe salary.

That got me thinking, wouldn't the Mavs be better off with Ariza instead of Parsons?

I'd rather have kept marion for 3-4m a year tbh. At least a squad including Dirk, TC, Marion and JJB would reminisce 2011 a bit more .

I hope Cuban tried to get him.
