the pussyfication of 'Murica

"He tried to slow the onslaught by benching his starters at halftime and telling his reserves to burn the shot clock before trying to score."
Popovich does this on a daily basis regardless of the score
How do you just run the clock out in basketball?
Dribble around and not shoot?
He deserves the suspension for giving up those 2 points
I am not sure if I got this right, but Anderson benched his starter and asked the remaining players to burn the clock, still won by 159 points, and is being suspended for running UP the score?
Why is he being penalized for the other team totally sucking? Is he supposed to teach his kids to not play their best, and opponents are people who should be viewed with their pity?
I am having trouble understanding this.
why hasn't belicheat been suspended for this yet
If the team that beat you by 159 isn't learining the game the right way what does that say about your team?
I guess teaching the game the right way now is telling your players to not try your best to don't embarras the other team.
The explanation : pussyfication of Murica
The losing gots and their fans should toughen up
How about tell the players stay in the lockerroom if you're too stupid to play the game. Guest coach should be fired for admitting defeat before the game even started.
No it means getting a sundae after the game and eventually sniffing the underwear of your team members while they are showering.
Were they handicapped? How do you only score 2 points?
They were running the Yinka Dare offense

He ran a press the entire game. Obviously the other team was full of girls who were new to basketball. Breaking a press run by one of the best teams in the league is going to be nearly impossible.Issa Wilson1h Ago
Check their schedule. The team that scored 2 points are only avg 10 points a game. They are a terrible team, period. This article does not include everything that the winning coach did to try and move the game along. He did his job. The problem is the losing team just doesn't have the talent to be the local YMCA girls all star team of 10 year olds. For this coach to be suspended is a horrible decision and the individuals in charged of making/updating rules for high school sports need to implement a mercy rule of some type so that this won't happen again if they truly want to preach good sportsmanship otherwise they will continue to look like idiots when this team lose again by 100 points which is possible looking at their division. There highest scoring game is 17 points. That's right, 17 points. http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools...l/schedule.htmKate Bragg1h Ago
He full court pressed the entire first half and then nicely pulled back into a half court press the second half. A half court press can be harder to break than a full court press. So, yeah you are right the article didn't tell about all of Anderson's efforts to move the game along and not score too much.
The losing coach should fired for making his awful team play a team that's not only not in his league, but obviously one of the best teams in the area. What did he expect?
How bout he just have the girls not get back at all on defense.
You can tell most of the s commenting ITT never played or coached basketball on a compe ive level. A lot goes into defeats like this. On that level it's mostly talent that wins you games. Effort is secondary. It sounds to me like the schedule makers ed up.
It happens a lot in girls basketball where a bunch of teams have girls that look like they just learned to dribble yesterday.
""People shouldn't feel sorry for my team. They should feel sorry for his team, which isn't learning the game the right way," he said."
Is this guy serious. Forfeit the game when you're down by 50 you ing gook.
Baseball has a mercy rule after 10 runs in the junior leagues. After a 50 point lead or something, maybe the game should be called off. Until that happens, you are going to see more dumb decisions by school admins everywhere. If getting beat by 159 points doesn't want to make you get better, than maybe you shouldn't be playing basketball at a comepe ive level at all.
Losing coach is a got but if I was the winning coach I would've probably told my players to let them score 15-20 points just to avoid this. Scoring 100+ in a first half is kind of overboard too.
Teaching compassion isn't really a bad thing at that age tbh.
This. They can't dribble. I personally witnessed my high school girls basketball team fail to score a single point until the final minute when they celebrated like they'd just won a le.
