Need to play the stupid card tbh. Spurs might be the dumbest team in the league the last month.
Pop has nary room, he's been coaching like tbh. Still trotting out the Danny Green corner three play out of every huddle and
1. Tiago sucks . Terrible defender and rebounder against any high energy blue collar player. He's a .
2. Foul shooting. Make a damn free throw or sign me for end of game foul shots.
3. Killer instinct. We can't close games. It's like watching the admiral in the playoffs.
We already went overboard with the gutless worms thread, I don't think the soft card will do any justice.
I always remember Pop bringing out the soft card when we lost to the horrible Bulls back in 2001, and the next night we beat a good Pacers team pretty good on NBC the next night
David Robinson would have already ripped a few new assholes by now..Tim would rather stand around with an akward goofy stare, or try and act hard with refs.
He just reads them some of the posts from the "Gutless worms" thread and that usually gets the job done.
If Pop pulled the soft card out he would have to mail it to himself. I have never heard him so willing to excuse bad play.
The entire coaching staff should be hanging their heads right now, and that has to include the newbies. Messina and Pop are always chatting away during the games and times out, and I don't like the influence I'm seeing there.
Pop has a history of bad free throw shooting teams, but the basic fundamentals of inbounding balls, rebounding, free throw shooting and avoiding turnovers in the last 5 minutes of a game are just too much to swallow without some of that going back to the coaching staff.

eg, wtf with "platooning" all 5 players at once? we've never seen that.
He's played the "Pitiful" card tbh.
I prefer he brings back the "they played like dogs" card again, tbh.

Sometimes I think the Spurs should bring Jason Kidd or Derek Fisher in as coach for a month to show you guys what an actual bad coach looks like. After a week of one of those guys you'd all be prepared to suck some to get Pop back.

I don't think it's a coincidence that so many guys are playing poorly. In addition to the injuries (which is crucial) it has to be mental. There's just something you can't really coach up/teach about motivation. Spurs accompished a major goal and it's really hard, especially when combined with injuries and somewhat of a relaxed regula season mindset, to just turn it up.
