Why the Hawks might have a chance:
-Home Game
-They have the ability to shoot like Golden State. The shooting percentages are very similar.
The Hawks shoot 47.2% and 38.8% in 3's. AFG% is 53%
Golden State shoots 48.4% from the field and 38.9% in 3's. AFG% is 54%
-Golden State is not quite as good on the road as they are at home.
-This is going to be Golden State's 3rd game in 4 days.
-Horford has shown some ability to hit the 3's, so he Pero Antic can turn Bogut into a disadvantage for GS if their jumpers are on. Bogut is not going to want to come and guard them. Not many teams in this league can turn Bogut into a weakness for Golden State. The Hawks have the ability to do that.
Dennis Schroder is a better defender than Jeff Teague and so he will have to play some big minutes.
-They haven't played a complete game in a while. The shooting has been somewhat erratic as of late and so they're due for a better shooting performance.
-SA has had success against Golden State and the Hawks do many of the same things that SA does.
Why Golden State should win:
-They have the better team.
-The Hawks have to create good looks for their jumpers to fall. Golden State can and will hit three point shots no matter if they're open shots or not.
-They have more scoring punch and athleticism off the bench.
-The Hawks have to pack the paint to stop penetration (due to the lack of a true center) and so they leave 3 pt shooters open pretty often.
-The Hawks have been playing as if they're burned out as of late. They haven't looked good since the game against Indiana a few weeks ago.
