If a head coach is absent for a game, does he still get the win or loss on his record?

I was thinking the same (e.g. Messina led games counting for Pops 1000), will look it up on reference...

I am guessing Pop was still the Head Coach. Even in the lockeroom. so yes, it counts. (Even if he gets ejected mid game)

    Seems so:

But anyway, Pop also has 149 postseason wins, so added up, he reached 1000 years ago...

Yeah, but there were also games (wins) where he wasn´t even in the arena...

And how about players records: When they miss games injured, do those wins account for their career records?

I think that's a no on the players but not sure. If they have a DNP, I don't think it gets counted.

still. He is still Head Coach no matter where unless he gets fired.

Players are different, they have DNP status. Coaches don't

If a head coach is absent, it still goes on his record. If a player is absent, it does not go on his record.
