Some fans say that this and that are good signings because they have championship experience. Even if said players are clearly bad.
Championship experience can be seen as an off-the-court asset too. These players have a better vision of the whole process, they are supposed to know what it takes to win it all. Some of them might be able to influence the locker room in a positive way throughout the season.
But yeah, I agree it's kind of overrated
Its an can be useful to someone that's been there, but it's not the end all be all.
But there is something real about experiencing deep playoff runs that teach you how to deal with big pressure moments.
For example: Kendrick Perkins, Ray Allen etc
lots of fans want these guys on their teams when they clearly are nowadays
