2. JaMychal Green, Austin Spurs, F, 6-9, 220 pounds: "He is the MVP of the D-League so far. He can rebound and he can spread the floor. He's a jump shooter who can knock down the 12- 15-footer and is a consistent rebounder."
Do we need to see more of him on the Spurs? Who do we send down or out?
Send Error out
according to hoopshype he is getting interest around the league
Do they still send Kyle Anderson to the D-league? If so, maybe send him down for a while and bring up JaMycal.
Or if not that, drop Ayres somehow.
he is not playing well tonight Austin is getting whooped
ayres has been playing pretty good basketball....
We could definitely use rebounding
Really want to see what he can do in the nba, he could really help this team, was really impressed with him this off season

I am still betting JaMycal Green > Error
Pretty sure he can dunk. Bring him up to the bigs!
Would be interesting to see J. Green and D. Green on the jerseys. Haven't seen that on the Spurs since Steve and Charles Smith.
Just dump that got daye and bring this guy in
A D-League player's not going to make any difference on this team. I hate Ayres and Daye as much as everyone else but a D-League guy isn't going to give us much better production. Don't get too excited about those numbers he's averaging - this is a league where Steph Curry's ty, little brother is the top scorer.
Daye doesnt give us anything either. Worst, this is a lateral move.

No, I think he's only been down once this season.
The funny thing is that Daye and Ayres haven't looked like complete lately, tbh. Why with team chemistry?
Ayres a couple of games ago freaking shocked me. He caught the ball almost every time and had some good plays. He also looked jacked. Looked like he'd been in the weight room working out. I actually saw some improvement from him a couple of games ago. I was pretty surprised with that.

Green is one of the best frontcourt callup prospects but d-league stats and performance are more inflated than usual this season. If his jumper gets more consistent, he'll be a lock though.
Somewhat related:
Who would be the better option between these two? I'd have to lean towards Green because Miller isn't really known to be a good defender (but he is averaging 3.3 blocks/game right now).

I remember when Quincy Miller was the 2nd best prospect in the country behind Anthony Davis and he was a lock to be a lottery pick, then his knee exploded.
Yeah, anything over Austin Scrub would be a good thing.
one half of average basketball against the Pistons, who disappeared when the Pistons showed up in the 2nd half. and the biggest praise he gets? Catching a basketball![]()
Half of a single game....in 41 total games.....for $1.8 million.![]()
