SANTO DOMINGO (FIBA Americas Championship) - The Atlanta Hawks gave Uruguayan center Esteban Batista a two year offer worth almost 900,000 dollars informed Pedro Perez, who works with Aaron Goodwin, who is Batista's agent.
"Batista is very happy to have the opportunity to play against the best players in the World," said Perez.
The offer was recieved on Friday, when Batista turned 22 years.
Batista revealed that his agent is also working an offer with Golden State, being Atlanta the best offer so far.
In eight games played, he averaged 18.0 points and 15.6 rebounds per game in the 2005 FIBA Americas Championship.
Do you know how tall he is? FIBA doesn't list...
I figure around 6-8/6-9, because with those numbers, a near 7-footer would be in hotter demand. He's either short or very, very non-athletic.
6-10 22yrs old
Not too short, is he very athletic at all?
I just find it odd that a player with those numbers and good height isn't getting much play when his best off is under 1 million.
To be honest I haven't seen him play that much, he looks athetic, nothing impressive...probably some other Arg poster can tell you something more
Thanks For Poster
