Man, guys at Clutchfans are roasting him. I haven't seen much Houston game but it appears all of his issues are still there according to Rox fans (Easily flustered by opponents, demands low post touches but still doesn't have any go-to low post moves, turnover machine, questionable at ude etc) defensively he's still better than most bigs but it appears he lost a lot of lift and his quickness has diminished.

You usually don't trade a franchise player like Howard, but big men with diminishing athleticism and limited offensive skills has a short shelf life and his effectiveness window is maybe set for 2 more years, tops. If Houston can sell high now, by now meaning next season, should they trade him for two solid pieces to complete the roster?

He's clearly hurt and sandbagging it.

The rockets are pretty much a bunch of extremely talented low IQ guys. Or at least they play that way.

It's enough to win games in the regular season. And who knows maybe a motivated Howard will help them win a playoff series, but until Mchale goes (which apparently will never happen) that's about all they're going to be.

But I told y'all that the Orlando Dwight wasn't coming due to injury and even that Dwight had serious holes in his game and mentality.
Again not a bad gamble for Rox but I never wanted him at 5 years max money at least you only have him for 4 but he will want an extension next year good luck with that ...
Rox have played better without him at times tbh

I've never understood why idiots want him to be like Dream. He's the most physically imposing center in the league, he can bully anyone in the paint...he doesn't need any finesse in his game. It's like asking Shaq to learn the dream shake.

Just feed him and tell him to back his man down. Still a borderline top 5 player if used properly tbh.

You would've never seen this if Dwight was Asian tbh. You didn't seen even a lick of criticism back then when Yao received 19m/yr from the Lockets without playing even a single minute. The Lockets are still their home team it seems like, so it's no surprise that even Kobe and Paul couldn't win a starting spot over beard tbh.

Dwert is never gonna improve. His peak was a few years ago before LA and now he's chronically injured. He's just a huge deteriorating body now, just like all the seriously declining, aging NBA bigs who have come before him.

Would be great in a bogut or chandler role. No touches other than pick and roll dunks, man the defense.

Too bad he will never settle in that role.

Don't think other NBA centers find Dwight that physically imposing, especially anymore. He has those big, broad shoulders and can jump high. But he's also closer to 6'9 or 6'10 than he is 7 feet. Plus, he doesn't have the backside to back down every center in the league. Guys like Shaq and Barkley had big trunks to back down, move, and root out defenders. Dwight doesn't really have that. And if his athleticism is declining with the mounting injuries, he's hardly intimidating to other 6-9 to 7 foot world class athletes.

He doesn't have Dwight's body-builder upper body or pure jumping ability, but I'd find Boogie more physically imposing than Dwight because he has the size and length, the caboose to push defenders around, some agility for that size, and a nastiness about him.
