How the are the Celtics rated so high?
No surprises at the top, we're #1. Golden State jumped up pretty quickly...

Acquiring draft picks, I guess.
For canning Rondo.
Fredo at #28.
hiring your bartender and horse-betting buddy to lead scouting
Knicks West
no Miami but Celtics & Indiana
no Clippers too?

So Golden State suddenly shoots up because Bogut isn't hurt, and Indiana goes into the toilet because some moron put the baskets too close to the baseline? lol
Huh? Miami is number 3.
Our front office doesn't value analytics, gives away draft picks like candy, wastes the ones they keep on redundant low-ceiling players who then don't get developed, and loses pretty much every trade they get involved in. I'm shocked they're as high as 17th, I'd much rather have the Sixers' front office (who's somehow ranked below us).
I actually agree with the Celtics ranking, I like what they're doing in acquiring assets, tbh..Stevens looks like a top 5 coach in the league, too, he's getting a lot out of a roster that is probably one of the 3-4 worst in the NBA IMO(Evan Turner, one of the biggest cancers in the league, is running their offense..their Cs are terrible, Brandon Bass is their primary big, Avery Bradley is one of their offensive facilitators, which would be like the Spurs having Danny play Manu's role all game)..
Eliminating a cancer like Rondo, and a really overrated Jeff Green were great moves, too..
Its not based on win/loss, look at Miami's position.
Golden State has built a pretty deep team mostly through draft. They drafted Barnes, Green and Thompson since 2011.. Who has Indiana drafted in the last five years? The one guy they draft that's worth a got jacked by SA![]()
I don't mind Miami's ranking, I like the way their organization is built and conducts their business, but Riley is pretty overrated as a GM(all his best moves were essentially luck), as is Larry Bird(the most overrated, maybe)..
Clippers are way too high, too, as CN said..the Cavs should be much lower, as well..LeBron going back home doesn't improve your front office..
Part of the Warriors ranking has to be credit for firing Mark Jackson and hiring Kerr.
