I bought some HD 598s two weeks ago... holy . I love these things to death. Like putting nice, fluffy pillows on your ears with one of the best sounding headphones ever for that mid-range price. Just amazing headphones.

back in 78 Joe Anthony brought these headphones from the station he said they were from Germany I couldn't believe the sound quality coming out of the lightweight sponges it blew me away, then later that night I was blown away again, hey 1978 who couldn't get a bj from an unshaven chick when you have 5th row tickets to see Rod?

I have a pair of Beats (got as a gift) and a pair of ATH M50 RD's and the difference in sound quality is like night and day. I still use my Beats when I job, but I want a better pair of portable headphones.

Anybody here have a good suggestion for good portable headphones?

This. My HD Pro 280's sound great.

Beats are overrated, overpriced crap. They produce great lows, but you would have to be a stupid mother er to spend three times what their worth just so you can copy everyone else.
