The study suggests that sexual selection is at work in the Dutch population, Stearns says: Dutch women may prefer taller men because they expect them to have more resources to invest in their children. But there are also other possibilities. It could be that taller men are more resistant to disease, Stearns says, or that they are more likely to divorce and start a second family. "It will be a difficult question to answer.”

Those guys are like 6ft to 6'1 on average. Pretty impressive considering those are the actually numbers and not the Internet bragging rounded up with shoes and two pairs of socks numbers. They say americans are not that tall but it seems like everywhere I go people are mostly 6ft and up.

I care less about your debates with blake but this is in itself a form of evolution by selective breeding of sorts. No different than what people do to animals and flowers to grow a certain type/species and perfect it over time.
so the that's what it is, selective breeding with human intervention. not something that is happening randomly or by chance.
Height is noticed before even facial aesthetics. When almost every guy is tall, well educated and has a strong family background, why would a girl choose a shrimp?
Nothing happens randomly, you always need a catalyst of some type to push it.
Asia will produce a sub10,00 sprinter either in 2015 or real soon. The thing is black sprinters have been running sub10.00 since 1968. Whites since a few years ago.
