Terrible Idea, imo..Players are just going to vote their own friends. Most of them don't have time to watch other games anyway.

I can see a scenario where a guy like Blake who is hated by most players not winning an award he deserves.

I guess it can be like the Ballon de Or...FIFA picks a number of players and then players can vote..But we've seen how the Ballon de or is..it's terrible.

GM's and scouts are probably the best in terms of evaluations, IMO..they should be the one making the votes.

it doesn't matter. The NBA just a franchise distributor and they are allowing franchises to vote for the awards. it's really no different then having fans vote for the All Star Game. You can't vote for the championship so that's all that matters. besides, I'm pretty sure most NBA players know as much if not more about basketball than Skip Bayless and Stephen ing Smith.
