Seems like we are mental midgets when we are at the foul line. Why does this team shrink so much when it comes to free throws??

As Pop said, they also missed a bunch of FTs. I think it's a factor to work on... but the Spurs have more pressing issues than that.

With how dark the seats are behind the basket in the Staples Center, I would find it easy to shoot free throws imo

The Spurs left way too many freebies on the table, and I'm not just talking FTs.

I agree, we do have more pressing issues but we can't continue to keep shooting ourselves in the foot. We do not have any margin for error. Most of their missed ft's were cause of Jordan. When I found out that we are 3rd this year in ft shooting, I was shocked tbh.

It's not the first or likely the last time we're going to have a struggling night at the line. But overall throughout the season, the team has done a good job, and there's no "mismatch" there, so I expect that to pick up.

It was just a horrible shooting night overall.

We need more of the chest-pumps, screamings etc tbh.
When you bottle it up all inside, you get "scared". Emotions all stuck inside you cant shoot free throws well..
When you release all the adrenaline with the chest-pumps and screams, you get more calm and confident, and when you shoot free throws, you will feel like you cant miss. This is why hack-a-player works most of the time, because they get scared, and they overthink it, like when they shoot, they think about how much strength to put into the ball, the spin, etc.
But when you just let yourself free and shoot it, it will go in most of the time.

You can't complain about the number of times we get to the line
if we can't shoot 50% from the line... It looks like we forgot to
pass the ball around tonight also.....After tonight's game I am
slipping on my life jacket just in case......LOL
