Congrats.I have no idea...never been married, don't plan on to for awhile.
Some of you all may already know, but for those who don't... I'm going downtown and getting my girls last name changed to mine on the 12th
We are getting an apartment together and its something we wanted to do before moving in together. I wish I could give the love of my life the beautiful wedding she deserves, but the $$$ isn't quite there yet. But when we do all of you guys are invited
Anyway... just wanted to know if any of you all have any advice to share with me. On
1. Moving
2. Living together
3. Getting married

From personal experience, I'd definitely recommend living together (and moving to a new residence - a place that's neither hers nor yours, but belongs to both of you) before getting married.
Sounds like you're on the right track.
I have no advice about moving except not arguing with your woman when it comes to throwing your away.

I told my wife I wouldn't drink tonight. Besides, I got a big day tomorrow. You guys have a great time. Like what you ask? Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

Seriously....if you're going through the PITA of changing her name, just get married! Sometime down the line when ya'll get more established you can renew your vows and have a great party!
JOP & License ... at least a few years ago, was only $110. Cheaper than a name change, which last I heard was $200.
But anyway, good luck! It's great to hear some good news.

and don't worry too much about some BIG wedding.. it's just 1 day, your focusing on a lifetimw. Just throw a good party @ a future date.
1. moving. pack your dishes and breakables in your clothes , sheets and towels. move the heavy stuff early in the morning asap.. cause the later it gets the hotter it gets and you'll have no energy.
2. living together/gettign married.
decide right away who gets what side of the bed, who turns off the light, who gets the alarm clock, and who does what chores.
say things as nicely as possible
don't go to bed angry
take each other into consideration with every decision
listen
have lots and lots of sex.

it was awesome. pics were gifts from friends.. so was hair flowers and makeup.
almost 7 years later and no regrets at all about hte small wedding. It was just what we wanted and we had alot more $$ to spend on US and our honeymoon and stuff we needed for the house etc etc.
