First off I gotta thank Trill...he straight up told me that he knows the kid and that we got the steal of the century because everyone slept on Jordan in the draft. Trill called this before Clarkson ever laced up...mad props homie....mad props....its like we got 2 first round top 10 picks last year and the #2 this year....hope like we dont it up. We have prime youth and veteren leadership...we're on our way to le contending if we can sign a max free agent and another almost max talent....just wow Laker fans..I'm very satisfied at the moment....look at this list....who would have thought he would have made it..in the short time they actually let him play.....dam
Los Angeles Lakers rookie sensation Jordan Clarkson earned a huge award and was named to the NBA's All-Rookie first team, the NBA announced. Clarkson is joined by Andrew Wiggins, Nikola Mirotic, Elfrid Payton and Nerlens Noel. The Lakers traded cash considerations to the Washington Wizards to draft the guard out of Mizzou with the 46th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and it's already proven to be a coup by Mitch Kupchak.
Clarkson averaged 16.7 points and 5.4 assists per game post All-Star break, taking hold of the Lakers' starting point guard position after Byron Scott gave him an opportunity to fill in for Ronnie Price. He quickly became the biggest reason to tune in for Lakers games as he dazzled with the kind of athleticism and youth the team hasn't had in the backcourt for years. He also earned Rookie of the Month honors in March, becoming the first Lakers player to do so.

Imagine what Jordan's vote totals would have looked like if he was allowed to play the entire season like the other rookies...remember he didnt get the nod until after all-star break and he still made 1st team....he would have beat out Wiggins had he started from the beginning....Jordan is the steal of the century just like Kobe was drafted with the 13th pick
