Shocker, seeing how I said he would oh... months ago.
Granted the writer sources a Woj article about Jeff Green that doesn't give any info about Gasol other than "he is expected to stay," but still...

The dude has heart. It takes a lot for loyal people to leave, especially since he's in an ideal situation, nice supporting cast, passionate fan base, great food, he's an influence in the community, etc.
That's the problem with free agency -- the guys you would want due to their character and grit are the last guys who would leave in the first place.
So you get a self-selected group of malcontents to choose from.
Drafting well or finding undiscovered diamonds is definitely the preferred method.
Agreed, PAFTO found the way to win championships without superstars, thing is will Kawhi be the next leader? if he is we only need supporting cast and thats much much easier than begging superstars to come here.
Basically 90% of the worthwhile posters did as well tbh.
meh. i don't really care. It seems he fades in the playoffs. I would rather have their PG.
As well? What are you saying about me Rob?
Solid point.
I doubt it's over before free agency even begins. I mean, the odds are weighed heavily toward his return even after listening to pitches from other interested teams, but I wouldn't expect him to forgo listening.
Oh no. Everyone here would listen to other offers for employment, anyone.. even retired people.
Spurs need to zero in on Aldridge if Marc Gasol is staying put.
In other news, water is wet.
