Great article, big fan of Green. If we win another 'chip or two, I hope his name goes up in the rafters.
I don't know if this has been posted anywhere. If it has, i apologize. Just was an interesting article discussing Danny Green's road to the NBA and all the struggles he had to go through as rookie, being cut, and playing on the D-League. I had no idea just how many repe ions of shots he was taking to prepare himself to be a better shooter. 1,000 shots a day is pretty amazing. I love the work ethic he shows and humility he has in his character to understand his own limitations and what he needs to do to be a better player.

This man embodies everything the Spurs and their culture are about. Nothing but respect for the man. Thanks for posting.
What a great story! Verde went through hard times and never gave up and now he has an NBA Championship Ring and a $45 million contract.![]()
I still remember watching him play for Union Olimpija because Davis Bertans happened to play on the same team. He didn't really stand out all that much at the time. It's amazing how far he has come since then.
Great article. Thanks for posting the link!![]()
We have a history of retiring jerseys for key complementary players -- AJ, Bruce, etc. Even if there are no more les, if he plays out this contract at his current skill level, he should be up there.
I love Danny Green and his story. I'm SO GLAD we could keep him.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the article.
And props to the indefatigable Danny Green.![]()
Another angle is the DG is articulate, intellient. In interviews, it's not a robotic string of sports cliches, but intelligent, on-point comments.
Great read. Keep on posting the good stuff!
