schwarzeneggers fault
I blame Bush... he's the fault and the republican party for not fixing LA's power situation...
They need to pay their Enron bill.
Wait a second... more incoming breaking news..
A fisherman off the coast of Alaska... his fish fell off the hook.. but Bush was seen in Scuba gear removing the fish... more to follow...
still waiting for that quote/link where anyone ever blames the hurricane on Bush...
a poster...
not a story about a story
that doesnt blame katrina on Bush at all
Read the article...Katrina happened because of global warming which is caused by Bush not signing the Kyoto accords.
Learn to google...there are several stories just like this one. Oh, and if a poster put it in a thread, it was probably from one of these sources since Nbadan, boutons, and the like haven't had an original thought since Paul Krugman and Maureen Dowd started writing.
dam a few lights go out in LA and all the cable news networks are acting like it's some terrorist attack... sheesh slow news day...
If your in CA, W feels your pain...

They're hoping...
I did read it!
its a story about stories, with one sentence quotes from german newspapers that dont blame BUSH for katrina at all
Here, try this one... I'll even pull out the relevant quote:
"Katrina's Real Name is Global Warming"
Okay, whatever you say...but, "global warming caused Katrina" and "US environmental policies cause global warming" and "Bush responsible for US environmental policies," adds up to Bush caused Katrina, for a lot of people.
Go ahead, ask Nbadan and bouton who's responsible for Katrina.
if by that you mean
"The Bush government rejects international climate protection goals by insisting that imposing them would negatively impact the American economy. The American president is closing his eyes to the economic and human costs his land and the world economy are suffering under natural catastrophes like Katrina and because of neglected environmental policies."
then youre correct in that last "quote"
“For They That Sow the Wind Shall Reap the Whirlwind”
I think Bobby Kennedy, Jr. all but blames Haley Barbour and George W. Bush for Katrina in his last HuffingtonPost.
Yeah, that's the one I was trying to remember who said it.![]()
I posted this link last night on another thread when the same question was being asked. I agree. Kennedy thumbs Barbour and Bush by association. I know it is called the Huffington post.
What are they huffing a ton of? Oh, probably exhaust from fossil fuels.
To play devil's advocate, it wouldn't be that hard to bring down the grid for a group like AQ. My last semester at A&M I took a counter-terrorism class and did my thesis on bringing down power grids.
The majority of corporations run their power grids via boxes running MS Winblows, which to a fault means they are easily succeptible to network attacks. When one of the Slammer worm hit in '03 it took out a digital monitoring station at a nuke power plant in Ohio that could have in theory resulted in a meltdown (thankfully the plant was off-line for repairs).
Last year when one of the other big internet worms hit a bunch of oil rigs in the Gulf got knocked off line.
Lots of folks think the next attack will be WMD but I suspect we're more likely to see something along the lines of the power grid get knocked out.
You should of seen our backup at Randolph HQ AFPC .. a whole floor of lead acid batteries. Multiple generators. Giant fuel tanks buried underground and some above ground.
You're lucky the environmentalists didn't hear about that...
Utility Error Blamed for L.A. Blackout
What'cha wanna bet they're union workers. I know, I know, there wasn't a fed from the Department of Energy standing over their shoulder saying, "I don't think you want to do that fellas."
I am sure that some here probably think W was there telling the electrician, "Hey, if ya cut that red wire, I'll give ya some fresh fish from PAN-CHA-TRAIN." (Pontchartrain said in that smug, I can say this hard word right, Bush emote.) SARCASM SARCASM SARCASM
I don't know what it is but my community in East Los Angeles had to deal with this first hand.
