    Pielke has calculated that a 1926 hurricane that ravaged Miami would create $110-billion in damage today. The 1921 hurricane that created a 15-foot tide in Oldsmar would cause $6-billion in damage, Pielke estimated.
    Good grief!

    Pretty interesting stuff AHF...so we are in the 10th year of a cycle that should last anywhere from 10 to 20 more years? That's insane.

    The sun's gonna explode.. will in millions of years.. it's NEVER going to get smaller...

    Eventually we are going to be a burnt to crispy critters...

    It may have a 12 year sunspot cycle but the overall size and output power of the sun increases everyday...every so slowly...

    The sun is never going to explode baring an outside event changing it drasticly. My Astronomy nerdom is secondly only to weather.
