When discussing Kirby getting food poisoning in the 2002 series with the Kings -

    Horry:
We weren’t worried. If Shaq would have went down, that would have been an issue. We felt that with Kobe out, no disrespect to Kobe, but we could fill in with B-Shaw [Brian Shaw] and Rick and all the other guys.

    WHAT???

You mean to say that Shaq might've been the best player on that team? Has this ever been discussed on this forum before?

tbh I feel like I'm free falling down the rabbit hole right now.

I want off this wild ride

What are you talking about, Devean George was the best player on those Lakers championship rosters.

You know, it's not Fisher's shot with 0.4 seconds that made that Game 5 loss so bitter in 04. It was allowing Devean George to score 16.

I don't even remember that he scored 16 points

Devean "Hippo nose" George was the designated shooter that year and he was put in as starting small forward in the Fab 4 team. He did a pretty decent job imo and then he just fell off a cliff after that.

This is funny considering how you usually try so hard to on Kirby in order to "fit in" with Spurfan

In those years, Shaquille was so dominant he could have won a les with a roster of 14 rookies.

Why people think Bryant is so good is really beyond me. He was just lucky enough to be on Shaquille's team. So was Fox. So was Fisher. So was B. Shaw. Bryant is no different.

Scrubs like Robinson, Parker, Bowen, Elliott, and Ginobili were just lucky to be Jim Cuckan's teammates. He would have won four rings and wouldn't get cucked by Stephen Jackson if he had 14 Speedy Claxtons all along.

Ginobili also did not bail out 10-27 Cuckan in the 2005 NBA Finals.
