This is ridiculous...do our guys even want to repeat? 6th seed and instead of practicing, they're playing ing golf? Pop has completely lost control of this team. Let Kawhi walk in the offseason and some other team can pay him to practice his draws and fades.

I'm surprised Pop didn't bench Leonard.

It's different now. They went to an hourly rate vs what it was originally (which was you put money on your card and it's per game). There's no way around it, its pretty pricey per hour (I think $40 per hour on the weekend). Best thing is to go with 4-6 people. Then you can split the cost over a couple hours.

The food/menu is actually better than most places like that (bowling, bar, etc) and the cost of food/drinks are reasonable. It's just the cost of the golf per hour that is pricey. But it's a really nice place, well kept and lots to do so I think it's worth it.

Also, I find it better to hit 5-10 balls at a time. Vs rotating every single shot. But it's a lot of fun. If it's something you think you might do regularly, buying the VIP/Membership stuff might be worth while.

Go on a weekday with a group of 6.

Glad I don't have to drive to Austin to play anymore.

Thanks for the info. How many "games" can you play within that hour, if you aren't really wasting time?

Just depends - you can do freestyle hitting and not play any games, so you can crank out a ton of shots. But if you play one of the 6 pre-loaded games (topchip, etc..) they are each 20 balls per game. So depending on how slow your group is, you can easily play 2-3 games in a group of 4-6 if you are focused and hitting/rotating crisply.

Yeah, I'll look into those membership plans; I like to play golf (no scratch golfer, but like to get out there every few weeks, if I can). So I'll see how the time management/money goes with a group and see if it is worth it.

Basically a driving range to compete with bowling.

You just pay at the bay too. Each person can pay too which is nice for groups and splitting the costs. But I usually spend 3 hours there and go with a group of 6 (although just going with two people is fun because you can hit a ton of balls). It's great for couples too - that's the genius of it.

Golf used to be for people who played and were good. If you suck, you never really go golfing because its not fun (like me). But even if you suck at top golf, the ball can still roll into a green and get you points so you feel like you accomplish something

It's probably not the best place to work on your game (it's not bad, but it's busy and it's off mat's), but it's great fun for golfers IMO. The real value of the membership (pricey too) is the no waiting/special offers/private bays. It's pretty bad a**. Also, great place for adult birthday/work parties. I've hosted several there for my work (which is great because I play for free ).

    Off 1604 I'd imagine, no?

It's going to blow up just like the Austin location did - Ken May is sitting back lighting his cigars with hundred dollar bills right about meow.

Go with a group and it's reasonable. Just make sure people keep playing and don't vanish when it's their turn. The different types of games you can play make it fun for everyone as well. Even people that aren't experienced golfers. Food isn't all that great though IMO.

Plus unlike a driving range, you get feedback of how far your shots are going (or not going) and better target practice.

Can't believe those young guys are playing golf, when they should be at the club, boozing and chasing gold diggers. What's wrong with our team?

So that's why you have the membership card. You get the card with your info (saves your stats too - like high scores etc) and before you start playing, you swipe your card. You tap on the screen to highlight which player is playing, then the balls that are dispensed are chipped with your info. However, it only tells you the distance if you land in a target. It doesn't measure every shot, you have to score for there to be a measurement.

It does have a target map with distances, so even if you don't score you can tell how far you have hit it.

Really? I think the food is solid (within expectations). It's much better IMO than any bar food or hooters or bowling that I've ever been too. Pretty diverse menu with some healthy options and interesting dishes.

Hmm, David's a lefty, but hitting a golf shot right handed. The man is talented.

Like I said, he's the anti-Phil Mickelson as Phil is the exact opposite of the Admiral.
