Many are already starting to speculate as to where Westbrook will end up. It was reported that the Thunder’s general manager, Sam Presti, has already reached out to the San Antonio Spurs about the possibility of a trade.
With that said, this still seems unlikely to happen; given the Spurs want to hang on to both Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, two players the Thunder will obviously ask about.
no
Should I trade a better and younger player? God damn op is showing his reddit and realgm brains.
Wouldbt even trade Green.
Id be open to trading a 31 year old LMA thiugh
Next thread to be started on SpursTalk: "How Ayers was the best player Spurs ever let go...".
Are you at least going to stipulate that the contracts are otherwise equal? Otherwise this is mad stupid.
ROFL @ that article saying the Spurs could offer Green/Murray/Anderson for Westbrook.![]()
Kawhi is a second banana and no team will ever win a chip with him being the main piece. Don't tell me about, 2014, that team had no leader, the best player was different every single game and as teams focus more on KL, he disappears. See Barned in '15 and even he wa shut down by ing Roberson and the 6'2 Waiters. He is not an A man.
NO.
NOT EVEN IF WB SIGNED A MAX EXT...
While I will agree with the above post - I would also say that I don't see the swap of WB for KL to be giving the spurs a chip either. Parker and Mills and Murray for westbrook.
Why would the Thunder do it?
Because that is probably the best the thunder will be able to get in return. Teams aren't willing to give up key players for a one year rental. If the thunder are going to be balking at every offer they get because it doesn't include players they want. Then they risk losing WB for nothing.
Hahaha trade a clutch, efficient 2xDPOY FMVP for a chucker that shoots his team out of the playoffs every season, especially at the end of games? No thanks.
Parker for Westbrook also works from a salary standpoint. I'm for that instead.
