Pete Rose
Is a tough call but I'd have to go with a pre-steroids Barry...remember before the steroids Barry was a 7 time MVP and Golden Gloves winner....the homeruns dont really mean ..Barry was the man long before that ..
But what about Ken ing Griffey Jr..while he only has one MVP he has 10 Golden Gloves and 13 times an All-star.. ..this is like MJ vs Kareem both unstoppable forces....its easy to see why Pedovante is so fascinated with us...

Pete Rose
bonds... the amount of intentional walks were ridiculous
Griffey Jr tbh. Probably a bit of a homer though as he is my favorite baseball player. The guy could do everything, really amazing. If the injuries don't happen he shatters the all time HR record.
^ this tbh...most people only know of Bonds during the hype of the Steriod era...reality is though he didn't need home runs to cement his legacy....I know we're nostalgic about the old era with Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson and all but as a baseball player Barry is really the greatest of all time...what I find interesting with Barry is that not only was he the greatest before the steroid era but he was the greatest while taking steroids...now that I find comically ironic![]()
PS: why was Roger Clemons also letting his steroid pusher inject roids into his wife's ass in their bedroom...Roger was a weird one....![]()
I love me some Griffey sometimes though I got the impression he was trynna be too pretty at the plate with his shifty swing....but I ultimately gotta go with Barry...a prime Barry was just a ing stud..and yes dude got walked more than a million times or so it seems
tbh if prime bonds and prime griffey were on the same team, they'd still intentionally walk bonds to face griffey![]()
Yea, can't really go wrong with either of them 1 and 2 imo. Like you said Barry was a stud even before the steroids and as Spurraider said there was a point where he was getting intentionally walked almost every at bat. I believe teams took the option of walking in runs with the bases loaded instead of actually pitching to him at time.
If were talking roid Bonds sure. But can you imagine a roided up Griffey? I mean he was hitting 50 HR's without them, jesus imagine him juiced up.
thats a crazy ing thought
They other thing is their outfield play...Griffey Jr with 10 and Barry with 8 Golden Gloves....I do think Griffey was a slightly better on defense....but Barry ran the bases better...its a good head to head hypothetical
This is why I can't stand the guy. When you're that gifted why not challenge yourself to reach your very outer limits naturally. He basically tarnished something for no good reason.
He did it for money....he saw Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa getting paid hitting home runs while the media willfully and purposefully turned a blind eye to it...and Barry was like it..I've accomplished everything is baseball so why not do what they're doing...the problem as I see it is that Barry was already so ing good till the roids just pushed him over the top to start challenging those all time records and thats when the media and baseball writers decided to step in to rain on Barry's parade...so while I may disagree with roid use the vermin in the ing media enabled all of this by not saying when Mark and Sammy was having a field day...what they did to Barry was wrong and shows their hypocrisy tbh
Prime Bonds is one of the 3 greatest athletes in modern pro sports history, tbh..
Babe Ruth is the only true answer tbh. I'll give you Pete Rose too
agreed. the intentional walks stat is all i need to see
dude was getting on base 50-60% of the time... unreal
Griffey's catch at the end of Little Big League>steroid Barry Bonds
that was on tv today... caught the ending. his homer in that game was cold blooded, too
Little Big League s all over Angels In the Outfield and Rookie of the Year.
Griffey did have a 4 year stretch were he went:
48 Homeruns
56 Homeruns
56 Homeruns
40 Homeruns ( 1994 strike cost him the final two weeks of the season, probably would have hit 43 or 44 homeruns)
Personally, like Griffey Jr. much better.
That Ken Griffey Jr baseball game for SNES was the GOAT baseball game, tbh.
