Wolfe basically ignored several "incidents involving racism. Black and jewish groups were upset and the football team threatened not to play their game this weekend vs. BYU (which would have cost the schooll $1 million dollars. The Football staff supported the players and a picture of the team went viral. The story started getting picked up nationally, its on ESPN, & CNNs frontpage. They wanted Wolfe to resign and he did.
The guy botched it in a big way, especially after everything that's went on in Missouri in the last year. He though it would be a good idea to ignore their complaints.
They probably would, If they were in the chase for the playoff and they threatened to boycott, he probably would have been forced out even quicker. The school stood to lose $1 million for a regular season game against BYU. Much more would have been at stake in that scenario.
Yep..not that it matters, anyways, the playoffs scenario is irrelevant in regards to the point..
