Okay, so my cousin and I are having an argument. Im a die hard San Francisco 49er fan, and he's a huge Packer fan. I think the 80's Niners would beat the 60's Packers. He thinks otherwise. I figured I would bring it here since most of you are not fans of either team. Its easy for me to say San Fran and him to say GB cuz of our bias. But since most of you are Cowboy fans you wont have that bias. So, who would win???

Yeah, I agree with Admiral50...80's Niners easy. There might not have been a better team ever in the NFL...maybe the Steel Curtain era.

No contest. By the time the Packers tried to use their hard-hitting intimidating presence, San Fran would have already scored 3 passing TD's to start the game.

Hard hitting, tough defenses have time and time again shown that they will beat a high powered finesse offense.

Bottom line is the Pack wouldnt win a game in a best of 7. IMHO anyways.

But the 80's Niners also had a good defense. That is the Difference.80's Niners would beat the 60's Packers. No question.
The 72 Dolphins are waay overrated.
For one thing, the 72 Dolphins should have lost to the Browns in their first playoff game.
For another, the 73 Dolphins were much, much better.
80's Niners hands down. Montana, Rice, Craig, Clark etc. would've run them off the field and the Niners tough skill players on defensive would've been able to handle anything the 60's Packers sent at them.
