Got this Pittsburgh-Houston game on, talk about pathetic..

They're bad. It doesn't help that the Texans' receivers can't get themselves open and that Carr is generally about a beat late in the pocket. Couple all of those things with a 20 point deficit, and it's going to be a long day for the Texans until Cowher calls his dogs off.

Nice. I just watched Philip Buchanan pull up on a touchdown-saving tackle on Willie Parker and let him run by for a touchdown.

Dude's gonna get his ass kicked in the film room for that one. Capers has got some serious work to do down there.

I think most of Capers' work is going to be centered around finding a new job very shortly...

Did anyone truly believe that the Texans, playing in the AFC South were going to be good enough to make the AFC playoffs, absent catostrophic injuries to other teams?? I certainly didn't. I thought, coming in, that the Texans would be fortunate to finish 3rd in their division (aided by the ans seemingly imminent demise). Being 3rd in a division makes a playoff spot terribly unlikely. Being 3rd in an AFC division this year makes that damned near impossible.

I didn't anticipate the Texans being so inept offensively, but 0-2 isn't a huge surprise.

This just in...in a move to save Houston, the Saints will move to Houston in exchange for the Texans who will call Comalander Stadium home...

Dude, they're on pace to break their sacks allowed record that they set last year

It was so bad today that Carr was just saying F it and running out of bounds to avoid getting killed.

It was a hot, long day.

Chris Palmer will be fired or demoted this week.

That won't fix much, but it's a start.

The team has come apart. Carr is pointing fingers at Palmer. Palmer is pointing fingers at Carr. McKinney is openly defying the head coach. Carr is screaming at his offensive linemen. The linemen have quit on Carr.

Carr sacks himself half the time because he gets frustrated, loses his cool, fails to hit hot receivers, and runs around aimlessly away from protection into defenders. The offensive line lacks talent, sure, but Carr creates some of his own problems.

And his teammates no longer trust him. He shows them up on the field. He bristles against Capers' conservative philosophies, then blames Palmer when he tries to open things up for him.

It's about time the Texans give up on this goty-ass fancy-hairdo California pretty boy and play Tony Banks or Dave Ragone. Carr has talent, but he's an awful leader, and his chance to lead the Texans has come and gone. Let him go to San Francisco after Alex Smith tanks so he can be closer to his sexual fan base.

    But that's not all.

Buchanon is dogging it out there -- he got himself benched. Babin has no discipline and no clue out there. That's five wasted draft picks for two complete busts. There are too many instances of Casserly doing this. His performance in the evaluation of personnel is unacceptable. There are no playmakers on the defense.

The offensive scheme is utterly unimaginative. Palmer and Capers cannot agree on a philosophy, so the result is an under-planned, under-executed failure. They have a handful of easily predictable plays which the opposing defense quickly snuffs out, and for whatever reason, be it inept coaching or an out-of-control QB, can't make adjustments.

Most of these problems won't be fixed this year. The general manager, head coach, entire coaching staff, and most of the players need to be replaced. The team has to go back to square one and start from scratch.

Bob McNair isn't getting much for the $800+ million he paid. The fans aren't getting much either.

You're right. It takes years and years to build a team through the draft, especially when suspect deals have been done in selecting Jason Babin and trading key high picks for Philip Buchanon. The bottom line is the Texans just haven't been able or willing to either trade for an impact player or trade for one. They are still young and, well, very vanilla. I think that long term this will be a very successful franchise, but right now its just plain ugly what they're enduring.

They won't be successful with the current organization. Casserly et al have to go.
