Spurs have basically now caught up to GS in point differential
After 25 games, Spurs +12.2 per game, GS + 12.9 per game. That's a difference of only about 17 points over the entire season so far.
Stats men know that point differential is a better predictor of future success than win/loss record for elite teams.
Go Spurs.

And we ain't playing good basketball.![]()
Hang that banner next to the "21 of 22 games won when leading at the beginning of the 4th" banner.
Spurs v. Warriors will be the real NBA Finals this year
Spurs lead after 3Q in 23 of 25 games, GS only 21 of 25 games!

The Spurs now have a better record than GS in games decided by 10 point or more:
Spurs: 16 wins, 1 loss
GS: 15 wins, 1 loss

Stats men can tell you record in 10+ games correlate better to eventual success than W/L records.

Reddit would love you.![]()
Spurs have also led by more Q4 minutes than Warriors. But some call that "Spurs have had a cupcake schedule"
Reel 'em in as the season goes on.
I predict another few losses for GW relatively soon. That usually happens after streaks end. The intensity drops for awhile as everyone takes a breath.
SOS
GSW .503 (13th)
SAS .468 (29th)
Point differential in mid December
That's actually a pretty ing scary thought for the rest of the league. The warriors played basically as best as they possibly can and we haven't even sniffed our ceiling yet.

Just wait till SPAM gets here....
NBA = Fcked
We get it, you don't like the Spurs.
Good for you.
Confirmed league Fucked.
Tony Parker is gonna give Riley Curry another sister
Oops, now it says GS has a point differential of +13.1.
The triple OT yesterday against Boston killed them.
Greg Monroe went ape on them tonight with 28 points.
Remember how pedestrian Monroe looked against Tim a few days ago?
Spurs fans are so happy that the Warriors finally lost 1 game, this is pathetic lol
them uber users ain't gonna pick themselves up. chop chop
Or how Tim is the top defender in the league by at least one measure (DRPM), while you can punish the Warriors in the post.
Milwaukee, for all of its defensive woes this year by adding Monroe (awful post D), still have a lot of length on the perimeter and I thought that would give GS trouble. You know who else has length on the wings?
are the Spurs ever going to play against a decent team? oh ya they lost to Toronto and Ok City lol
Points differential has been a pretty good indicator of post-season success. Doesn't mean it predicts which team will win it all, but it's one of the best ways to spot the contenders vs the pretenders. Back in 08-09, the Spurs won 54 games and the SW Division, but their points differential was only something like 3.5, and they got knocked out in the first round by Dallas. They were pretenders.
But comparing the Spurs and Warriors differential doesn't prove anything. Normally, if two teams have roughly the same point differential in the regular season, go with the one that plays the best defense when it's playoff time. One team scores 105 and gives up 97 all season and the other team scores 98 and gives up 90 - same differential, but playoff basketball favors the second more often than not. The Mike D'Antoni Suns are the best example of that I can think of.
The way Golden State is playing right now, it may be a different story. But we're only 25 games in. Still, if I had to pick a team to put against the Dubs in the playoffs, it would be one that had a high point differential but gave up a lot fewer points per game. As of now, that's the Spurs.
More like Tony Parker is gonna give Steph a grandchild
