The dog was very old....they must have shown the 2nd take on TV then...because the man escorting her was literally DRAGGING that poor dog (yes, it was on it's back) and it (and she) looked really tired.

Geraldo Rivera arrives in a Fox News truck. An elderly woman with blond hair grips his elbow. She's wearing thick dark glasses and a pink shirt. He carries her small white dog in his arms. He's wearing thigh-high waders unzipped to below his knees. We shake hands. "Her relative called one of our stations," Geraldo tells me, explaining how that call went to another station, and then another, and finally to him.
The woman had been stranded in her home for six days. Geraldo picked up the woman and her dog and brought them here. The woman looks frail on his arm, though not as bad perhaps as a lady collapsed on a chair nearby, unable to move. Or a woman in a wheelchair being lifted from the truck, carrying her prosthetic leg on her lap.
"That's the second time he brought her here," one of the doctors tells me, nodding toward Geraldo.
"What?"
"They did two takes. Geraldo made that poor woman walk from the Fox News van to the heliport twice. Both times carrying her dog."
"Are you serious?" I ask. He says he is.

I guess once the camera man saw what was going on with the dog he panned away really quick. I actually got pissed when I saw that.
And I didn't mean to quote myself...that was supposed to be "edit".![]()
I saw that and I thought there was something kind of strange about it. They show Geraldo and a fireman(or soldier) "rescuing" the woman from her home and carrying her down a narrow and dark flight of stairs (while still in the chair...which later seemed unnecessary when we see she can walk fine). It's like he's making his own hero videos starring himself. Next time we see it, we'll hear Bette Midler singing "wind beneath my wings".
oh, Geraldo, you're such a prima donna.
Geraldo is catching a lot of heat for this. Last night, Keith Olberman renewed his "Worst Person in The World" segment just to give Geraldo the honor.
Second place I think was Michael Jackson, because his contribution so far has been to promise us all a new song similar to We are The World.
In fairness to MJ, I think he's near bankruptcy.
Word is that Geraldo was directed to do this by SecDef Donald Rumsfeld.
Yes, this was Bush's fault too...
your sarcasm is so predictable
no one even said it was
Your riding of my jock is predictable as well.
Oh!!
i suppose thats Bush's fault
yeah right
This guy should have been fragged when he was embedded in Iraq.
While I was channel surfing yesterday, I caught part of O'Reilly with Geraldo and I believe that they said that Fox (or maybe Geraldo as an individual) has either filed suit, or asked for a retraction from the NYT about this incident.
yeah, i think they are suing... and i think... not sure... he said, the nyt hasn't learned from their jason blane incident or something like that.
Actually, he said the woman who wrote the story was Jason Blair in a tail dress.
Is this how it works:
Since Geraldo is on Fox News then he's a "R" and must either be defended by all "R's" or vilified by all "D's"...?
Who gives a you weirdos?!?!
Tell em Marcus; One demensional SOBs.

What would Tlong do?
Was there anything in her Vault?
Geraldo is a preening ego-inflated and always has been...inspite of this, he has a ton of balls for a journalist and I like his change from radical lefty to pro-military/service journalist...
I for one, do think he probably did do something like that...the guy is kind of crazy at times. Amazingly he says the Democratic Party is too whacky for him to remain a Democrat these days...I think he described his politics as having some friends on the left and some friends on the right...
To tell you the truth though...I don't think Geraldo really has any political party, other than the party of Geraldo, and he jumped to the #1 Network so he could get his face on it...anyway...he's an American FWIW, and generally doesn't try to undermine the country or cause internal political chaos in the name of ratings...like most of the rest of the journalists...he tends to stick to making a sensationalistic ass of himself and usually does come up with some exciting reporting.
I didn't even know A Current Affair was still on t.v.
Geraldo Takes Over for 'Current Affair'
(Thursday, September 22 02:07 PM)
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Geraldo Rivera is returning to broadcast television, headlining a syndicated news show that will replace "A Current Affair" later this year.
"Geraldo at Large," a half-hour show hosted by the Fox News correspondent, will air five days a week on FOX-owned TV stations starting in November. The show will offer reports on the "most compelling" stories of the day, mixing in field reports, investigative work and interviews.
"Strong news reporting and the delivery of comprehensive information to the viewer are key ingredients to success and ones we are going to incorporate into our program strategy," says Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations. "News is a key driver for the Fox owned-and-operated stations, and 'Geraldo at Large' will serve as a strong complement to our local stations' newscasts."
hahahahahahahahahahaha.. oh man yea he's a freak.
Anyone have a Chair I can use?.......
I don't think that's likely...considering the guy gets royalties not only from Thriller alone...which could probably fund a small country, he gets money from the entire Beatles catalog.
MJ is chilling with the oil Shieks... "can you pay my legal bill? I'll sing beat it for you"....
