Had the Spurs rang in 2013 Gary Neal gets resigned as does Blair most likely. There's no way in they do it again in 2014. They had basically the same team in 2015 and couldn't get past the 1st round. That's because they weren't driven as much as they were in 2014.
Spurs have never been juggernauts. They've been tough, but when they've won the ring they've almost always found a bit of a match up luck in the process or some other team was injured. That doesn't mean they wouldn't have won, but the Spurs don't have overwhelming talent, just consistent, high level players who capitalize on opportunities better than any other team.
Lakers had overwhelming talent. No one could stop Shaq except Kobe. Then again, Kobe never won a playoff game until Shaq took him by the hand.
