    Marck jackson never took helm.

I just rewatched some of his games pre kerr and man he was utilized so poorly. Jackson really has a weak eye on talent.

Golden State was so frustrating to watch under Jackson, playing 90s isoball on every possession. I could never understand that with such a complete PG in Stephen Curry. Of course I thought they'd be a 56-58 win team with an outside shot at a le with a real coach, not a ing 67-75 win team that looks like a lock to repeat.

One thing i also noticed, that got designed his team to make it easy for his wings. Barnes and Thompos...jesus. curry spent so many minutes on ball..

But the former is even worse.

I wouldnt be surprised if he thought thompson was a better player. He was hyping down curry and hyping up thompson all year long.

Mark Jackson is a weird cat, and his offensive approach didn't really fit the talent on his roster. But his defensive imprint on that team and what it's become has been lost.

The team defensive rating ranks the three seasons before Jackson took over: 28th, 29th, 26th

The team defensive rating ranks the three seasons Jackson coached them: 27th, 14th, 4th

Jackson's emphasis on defense made a big difference en route to how they developed as a team and emerged as a championship caliber team. Kerr just fixed their offense while allowing Curry and Thompson to grow and maximize their talents. Without Jackson's influence on defense, they're still likely closer to the mid 2000s Phoenix Suns as opposed to the dominant team they have become. Jackson was not perfect, but he should take some legitimate credit on their journey to become champions and now a dominant looking team on both sides of the ball.

They weren't beating the Spurs in 2013 after Curry shattered his ankle & they didn't have Bogut/Ezeli against the Clippers in 2014. Not to mention Draymond couldn't shoot pre-2014-15.
