Good riddance to that ego maniac. Whined enough to get the rule changes to help him put up empty regular season stats and break records. Hijacked teams so he could put up video game numbers only to be one and done in the playoffs numerous times, especially at home. Was lucky to have strong defensive perfomances to win his Super Bowls. Asshole.

His last act was having front row seats to watching Cat Newton piss his pants in front of hundreds of millions of people.

He was fun to watch (on and off the field), has 2 rings, a handful of NFL records, and tea-bags es. He will be missed. Hopefully he replaces Phil Simms on CBS. Simms and Nantz together are just too unbearable

He's insufferable as well. Besides Al Michaels I really can't stand anybody anymore--with the exception of Scott Hansen on NFL Redzone--that guy has the best job in the world and he excels at it imo

He tormented Houston for years, but I always had the satisfaction of watching him choke more often than not in the playoffs. I've warmed up to him a bit as his off the field personality is hard to hate. Hopefully he's in a booth one day, but I think there will be franchises lined up to give him a seat in the big chair.

He always had the Ravens numbers and all the great Ravens players (Ray, Reed,JO, Suggs) had the ultimate respect for him

Can't hate him. One of the greatest of all-time. Good thing the retired with the same numbers of rings of his got brother.

Glad to see Peyton retire as a champ, especially before his physical skills eroded anymore. I became a fan around 2002-2003 when my interest in football was at an all time low. Basically whenever Dr. York took over the Niners and ruined something great. Plus at that time I hated how so many qbs were using those armband cheat sheets. So seeing Manning not use them, and then turn into one of the best playcallers in the history of the game, made me a huge fan. Still had to suffer through some brutal playoff losses
Always wish he had gone to the Niners but he ended things as well as possible.

There Peyton is with Brady, Montana and Johnny U on that Mount Rushmore for QB's.

Johnny U would get the nod over Favre, just the way it is.
