About a week away from Free Agency... only a couple of days away from the deadline to give the Franchise Tag. Rumors will start cooking after the Tag deadline.
Who are some prospective FA's you want/expect your teams to pursue? (not including guys like Von Miller, Josh Norman who will likely get the tag)...
Raiders are expected to go after an inside backer like Danny Trevathan/Brandon Marshall/Derrick Johnson... a corner like Janoris Jenkins/Sean Smith... safety like Eric Weddle. Malik Jackson is also a name being thrown around.
Man I hope the Raiders aren't able to pilfer our inside linebackers. Trevethan and Marshall are so incredibly under rated.
I'm not positive they would be as good on a team without an exceptional front four like the Broncos had this year, but it would still hurt if we lost them.
The speed of Trevethan coupled with Mack would be a scary linebacker group.
The Raiders are without question the biggest threat to knock the Broncos off the pedestal in the West.

yeah, Weddle and Gipson are guys the Raiders should be targeting... our secondary already sucked and now Woodson is gone.
offseason checklist should be: secondary (safety and corner), middle linebacker, d-line depth (tuck retired and mario edwards has some weird neck injury that sounds ominous), and then OL (re-sign penn or draft a LT.... also need a RG)

It's not. Dude's been burned quite a few times recently on his extensions. Rice had to punch his fiancee (still paying that one off), Pitta's hip exploded and Webb went from the second-best CB in the league behind Revis in 2011 to a guy trying to move to FS to continue his career. Monroe is a bust and is probably getting cut. Kyle Arrington hasn't fit the scheme. Same with Kendrick Lewis. Jimmy Smith is all right but not back to form yet. That's a TON of money tied up in guys who aren't earning it.
ray rice was dead money last year, off the books this year, to my knowledge
KO is a good Guard, but not Yanda good. He is still young but a 60m contract for him is too much money. If they're paying him LT money because of a 4-game stretch, they're nuts.
Anyway, the Raiders have a history of overpaying. If KO remains healthy, they got a good player no doubt about it, but he got overpaid by a lot. KO will probably be replaced by Jensen. I'm more concerned about having Monroe as the starting LT next season.
Also, heard you guys are "the favorites" for Doug Martin.

Raiders come out of nowhere to nab Bruce Irvin... he takes the SLB spot vacated by mack when he moved to DE. ken norton jr knows his seahawks guys, malcolm smith worked out well for us last year too
as long as this doesn't pull us out of the running for one of sean smith/janoris jenkins i won't complain
Houston loses Ben Jones to the Tacks. Kinda sucks but he's replaceable.
