That place over on 410 and West?????? They are open 3 days a week or something like that.

Also Foleys, JCPEnneys and Dillards sometimes have some great sales.

Stay away from Barrys unless you want to be ridiculed. Their suits are 2 shiny. lol.

Mens Wearhouse is cool but you might pay a little more but the benefits are they fit their suits to you and you have lifetime pressing which is always handy.

Saks for the best but you will pay through the nose.

I've gotten a few from the Men's Wearhouse and their fitting is what I like and I did like the way I looked.

Oh, and don't forget the socks.

    Manny,
Stop by Second Looks on North New Braunfels. Excellent selection and very good prices. I just got my dad a Patagonia sports shirt and a dress shirt for less than $40.00 for birthday gift. The store has an excellent selection of suits, shirts, ties, shoe, etc. Check it out.

K&G and Second Looks were both great places with good prices when I bought my suit a few weeks ago.

How often are you going to wear it? Once or twice a year, then you could go with one from Sears, JCPenney, etc. And they will do some tailoring too...

On the rare occasion my husband needs a sports coat or suit, he's gone to Men's Warehouse. And when he's needed one, he waits until the last minute to buy it. Like a few days before it's needed. MW has always had it ready in time.

K&g Mens Store is the place to go. You can buy suits, ties, dress shirts, shoes the whole nine yards there for anywhere from $99 and up, I've bought 2 there myself (it didn't hurt that I worked there part time and got an employee discount!). Burlington Coat Factory runs a very close second.

BTW Mens Warehouse and K&G are run by the same company, MW just has some higher end clothing.

Travis, much more than twice a year.

I don't mind paying more for something as long as I know it's quality. My worst feer is paying a lot for a piece of trash. You usually get what you pay for, but I don't want to overpay.

Thanks for all the reccomendations. I think I'll try K&G

Second Looks is hit & miss. Sometimes they have a lot of good stuff, sometimes they have total .

K&G is good if you plan on wearing it once or twice - but in quality and style, a suit there most likely won't last you more than a year at most.

Mens Wearhouse is a good bet - the carry Jones New York suits - pretty good stuff. And dress shirts by Joseph & Feiss - the non-iron ones are about $50 a pop, but worth it - high quality material, put together well. You'll still need to iron them to get them looking top-notch, but it's an easy iron, not a 30 minute exercise of misery. The one I've been to in Austin has a fantastic tailor for cusom fitting. The downside is you can get a salesman that really knows his , or you can get some 20 year old dip trainee whose idea of fashion is how much "product" he puts in his hair. Don't be shy to ask for the manager or somebody with a lot of experiance.

Well, if it's a lot of wear, then spend the money, obviously. I've heard good things about MW, though I've never been.

The last two suits I bought were Jones New York from Foleys. With the sales, they were about $250. I'm very satisfied with the look and feel of them. One is a wool/silk blend, the other mostly wool, but it wasn't heavy at all.

Nuttin' is finer than a man in a suit. But not a cheap suit.
