Pearl Jam is my all-time favorite. They did start something new. Eddie Veder is weird, but can really write great songs. This band will be remembered for a while. STP is a good band no doubt, but they don't come close to what Pearl Jam has done and will continue to do. The album Ten was something else and will be hard to match for a very long time.

Eddie Vedder is the man. In no way is STP better than Pearl Jam. They are the best group to come out of the 90's. They even top Nirvana.

How can you "change the music industry" when all you did was follow Nirvana out of Seattle? Pearl Jam was the Buzz Aldrin of the Seattle music scene.
