Tough, tbh...
Xavi
Ronaldinho
Rivaldo
Pirlo
Bati really doesn't belong in that list, he was a pure striker, the other guys are all playmakers that could also score here or there.
A striker's list would go more like this (in no particular order):
Hugo Sanchez
Zamorano
Batistuta
Van Basten
Rudy Voeller
Klose
Peak: Ronaldinho >> Xavi> Rivaldo> Pirlo> Batistuta
Overall career: Xavi > Ronaldinho> Pirlo> Rivaldo> Batistuta
I placed batistuta there purely for level of play. I couldnt remeber any other player since 98 that was possibly in the same level as those guys. Not iniesta for sure..
I considered Ballack. Heck of a player
Very underrated..but I ended up going with batistuta since everyone would have placed those four way above Ballack. I had batistuta lower than the 4, but hard to think of players...
Edit: I actually forgot about Figo..I would have placed him there.
The women I play soccer with barely know these guys![]()
That kind of players (playmakers), you have Zidane, Riquelme, Laudrup, Zico, Platini, Francescoli, Bergkamp, Totti, Rivelino, Rui Costa, Socrates, and obviously Maradona, and I'm probably missing a few...
some of these players are clearly way above the rest.
I wasnt thinking of positional ranking but just level of player.
peak:
ronaldinho > xavi > rivaldo = figo > pirlo
career:
xavi >> figo > pirlo > ronaldinho
best player out of the bunch : xavi.
is that a thing in the us ?

Ronaldinho > Xavi > Rivaldo > Figo > Pirlo
