Didn't he sign on the 3rd or 4th?
From the lack of news, i guess it was a dud? Smhthis time last year, we were all excited LM commited.
Didn't he sign on the 3rd or 4th?
It sounds peculiarly short, compared to some of the other teams.
Tbh I wouldn't expect much news about it in either direction.
I can't imagine he'd leave, but he did shut down the Thunder's attempts to land Horford by refusing to commit.
ours wasnt shorter it was about 2 hrs like the others except for the clips who he was blown away by supposedly...until they resigned Austin rivers and eliminated themselves from the running![]()
Interesting stuff about OKC, sounds like they kind of whiffed it a little.
There may be some "wrap-up" reporting tonight about the meetings as a whole and a characterization of where Durant stands relative to staying or leaving. Might not get that til after Miami tomorrow though.
I hope for their sake OKC wasn't banking on recruiting Hirford. That's a bad pitch.
It'd be an interesting San in the back if Durant instead follows Horford to Boston.
With the way Riley has treated Wade I wouldn't be surprised if KD is wary about going to Miami
It's probably between Warriors and OKC at this point tbh, I would love it if he chose to sign with the Spurs.
Regardless of how the meeting went, this just doesn't have the same feeling as last year with LMA. I was fairly confident LA would come here last offseason...or I at least thought we had as good of a chance as anyone to land him.
With Durant, I don't feel like that at all. OKC just eliminated us in the playoffs. They were a game 6 chokejob away from beating the 73-win Warriors and advancing to the Finals. Spurs have Kawhi/Aldridge, but outside of that the team is a pretty big question mark with Duncan/Manu possibly retiring + SA having to get rid of more guys to make room for him. It just makes 10x more sense for him to sign a 1-year deal with OKC. Give it one more shot with Westbrook, and then next offseason they'll both be FAs and can decide whether they want to stick around or not. This way also gives him the most money as well.
Not saying there's no way KD comes here...but I'd be pretty shocked if he does. Just interested to see what the Spurs' plan B will be once he chooses somewhere else.
Plan B is probably sign Gasol and say goodbye to Duncan.
It is the easier road to the Finals despite having to go through Cleveland.
I'm feeling Boston too. Just because.
yes, the Celtics can still get an all star (Butler, cousins, etc.), they have great defensive players (Crowder, Bradley, intelligent), picks lottery and cap
You're counting on RC, Pop, Duncan and Aldridge to show emotion? If only Kawhi could be there.
I'm thinking this with Tim sticking around for one more spin.
Not sure I'd like to play poker with any of those guys.
What does anyone expect to hear? There was no reactions on any meetings except the Clippers and they moved on lol. I'd rather not hear anything until he makes a decision. Anyone elses opinion would be hearsay at this point anyways.
Yup. People trying to extract meaning from third hand information delivered in under 140 characters![]()
Theres nothing in Boston guys. Not more talented than OKC. It's Spurs 100% now.
