I haven't seen the topic discussed, but there may be one positive to Durant signing with the Warriors: Russell Westbrook. Bare with me, but should Westbrook hit free agency next year, I don't see a better situation for him than San Antonio. We would be in real need of a point guard, Parker will probably be ready to accept his role as 6th man, and Westbrook would be the difference between being a pretender and absolutely being a contender. Unless I'm wrong about the money, with the cap going up again next year I think we should be able to afford Westbrook with some small moves to clear any extra money we need.

A lineup of Westbrook - Green - Kawhi - Aldridge - Pau/Free Agent Center (not sure if we can get westbrook and keep Pau) would be amazing and would give us a real chance to win it. Again maybe I'm wrong about our cap situation but as long as we have the money, the Spurs are absolutely Westbrook's best fit.
