On realGM there's a thread about who people would take on their team next year, Jayson Tatum or Wembanyama and there are people who are actually taking Tatum. There's only two players in the league I would possibly take over Wembanyama on my team next year, and those are Joker or Doncic.

There's not a GM in the league who would take Tatum over Wembanyama.

His matchup with Wemby might be even more anticipated than Holgren vs Wemby

Adding Holmgren into the consideration because he is really lucky to be in OKC and is a championship contender already.

OKC's future might be brighter than Spurs given that they already have All NBA first team superstar in SGA and also few more unprotected 1st round pick from Clippers should they implode together with Nephew's never ending injuries.

It's likely health dependent. Wemby has always worried me about his long-term health. But despite my concerns it hasn't been an issue so far. Hope that continues.

It's also situation dependent. If Cooper Flagg is drafted by a dysfunctional franchise it could easily set him back. We saw this with Lebron who started with the Cavaliers and wasn't really compe ive for a championship until heading to Miami.

There are just things that Wemby can do that Flagg cannot do given his length and his mobility. Cooper will be a great player, I'm sure, but Wemby is one of those athletic freaks that come along every 10+ years.
