Um, the only thing that changed was the city and the logo.
WTF did anyone even know this NBA team existed for 4 years?!
1967-68 came into league along with Seattle Supersonics. Sucked balls, got #1 pick.
68-69 chose Elvin Hays #1. He led NBA in scoring and San Diego made the playoffs.
69-70 another good scoring season by Elvin but they regressed, missed playoffs.
70-71 Rookie Calvin Murphy worked well with Elvin and record increased to 40-42 but not good enough to make playoffs.
Um, the only thing that changed was the city and the logo.
San Diego also had the Clippers right?
I remember it and would scan the box scores for Walton's line.
Yes and you will hear that ad nausem, especially around here (San Diego).
But nary a word about the San Diego Rockets.
Different team. You are referring to the San Diego Clippers.
Completely different franchise then SD Rockets.
Check.
