Mattress store's 9/11 'Twin Towers sale' commercial prompts outrage
SAN ANTONIO -- A mattress store has apologized amid mounting social media criticism of a commercial advertising a 9/11 "Twin Towers" sale.
A video circulating on Facebook on Thursday shows a commercial from Miracle Mattress, which is located on Northwest Loop 410.
The commercial states: "Right now, you can get any size mattress for a twin price." It is centered around the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
It also shows people in the commercial falling onto two stacks of mattresses, knocking them to the ground.
Facebook users are calling the ad "disgusting" and in poor taste.
Miracle Mattress posted the following statement on its Facebook page in response to the online backlash:
"To all of those who have seen our 9/11 sale. We are very sorry we have offended you. Our intentions were not to hurt anyone at all. Our staff is full of military and some relatives have passed away due to 9/11. We are promoters of peace and love. We have given abundantly to our community here in San Antonio and wish to remain known as a company who respects and loves others. We hope you find it in your hearts to forgive us. Please accept our apology."

I was knocking out my last set on the bench when Judy came out and...."ya better come and see this", I told her.."ok, as soon as I finish", she replied..."that can wait".
Like most at first I thought it was just a jet that had problems, then we started to see what was really going on.
That was 24 books on Islam, Mohammad, Middle East ago. After 9/11 I got real curious about just what is wrong with those freaks, so I set to find out and I did.
It all starts with a liar and a murderer in Mohammad. He was a freak and his Koran is why we see all this stupid violence. So many times we read....and His messenger....in the Koran. That is Mohammad setting things up for himself.
Here we are, football is back, we have tons of things to do. Now look at those desert dwellers, what do they have to do other than sit around thinking of ways to hurt people over some bogus bull and a mad man.
Except the towers looked nothing like that. I was in them one time (well, just one of them). On a vacation to the Northeast with my mom, uncle and aunt and two older guy cousins. My oldest cousin was visiting a corporate formal a few days before Thanksgiving for the company he interned with that fall in Omaha, and we ate at the "Windows of the World" (107th floor IIRC?) ...
My mom still has those pictures somewhere of cute little 6 1/2 year old me in a kid's suit and clip-on tie standing in between my cousins.
Astonishing and sad that they were gone less than a year later, but I'm proud that I actually got to be in one of them before they ...vanished. My biggest regret was not going up to the 110th floor when I had the chance, or getting to go into the other tower. I wanted to go up but was too scared to take the stairs or elevator alone. Wanted to go into the other tower but the adults said we didn't have enough time because we had to get back on the road on I-95 (we had to get to Albion, Maine by the end of the day). Bummer.

The matress store is closed indefinitely after receiving numerous death threats. The add was stupid and tasteless, but that's getting ridiculous.
In any case, I have a feeling this thread is about done after Mouse had to spew his bull .
