Well, Danny can't find his form, Kawhi isn't a true 3-point shooter and his shot comes and goes, Manu's too old...But the good thing is that Patty and Davis seem full on 3's.
I miss these Spurs, tbh. Now, I have to watch GS doing this sh** instead....
Tbf, this is not a criticism of the current Spurs.

Maybe if we have Udoka blow a whistle right before Green shoots, Danny might shoot above 80% from three
Like his release isn't fast enough?
His release isn't as quick as catch-and-shoot specialists such as J.J.
But Chip worked on it.
“I had a good shooting form, but he brought my release a little lower and helped my follow-through. But they were just little adjustments Chip had seen. I just believed in it and worked on it from there.” Kawhi said.

Did you get to watch teh game after all? I wasn't even at home for it, but it doesn't seem like guys got a stream or were able to watch it.
It did seem like most of everything from him was from the 3 pt line. I can't say what they were running. It did seem like a lot of it was Tony/LMA and some Pau involved, just based on the location of shots for others.
Pop said they were not looking at X and O for this game, just player performance. I think that for the regulars, it's just about getting their chemistry going really, and for the new guys it's probably about how "solid" they are.
No. I was very disappointed with LP, the Spurs media, Turner buying TV rights, myself...
We saw in Phoenix a different game from Kawhi. It did seem like most of everything from him was from the 3 pt line. I can't say what they were running. It did seem like a lot of it was Tony/LMA and some Pau involved, just based on the location of shots for others.
But with the classic SL and Parker on the floor, he won't get many opportunities to run plays, or many post-up situations either with Pau/LMA playing in his favorite spots. We'll see if he will be relegated to the 3-point shooting most game, hopefully he won't.
It's interesting that he was evaluating players but Murray didn't play that much. Or Pop liked what he saw in practices and Suns game, or Dejounte would see his future in Austin this season.Pop said they were not looking at X and O for this game, just player performance. I think that for the regulars, it's just about getting their chemistry going really, and for the new guys it's probably about how "solid" they are.
Also, I guess you said that Pop likes a more polished PG like Laprovittola...
Spurs could have won the championship if they kept Steven Jackson.
That's what I always thought, however, I knew nothing about locker room and off-court stuff...
He was a Durant stopper; so, agreed.
Pretty sure he was talking about 2012.
We had him in 2012... he was our 3rd best player in that series, unfortunately.
Whatever year it was that he was here and Pop cut him mid season.....
2012-13... actually Jackson wasn't cut until a few days before the playoffs... I could tell by the fact we still had Gary Neal and we had that really boring PA announcer that year, that the video in the OP was from 2013... easily the worst season in franchise history.
We went to the finals and would've won minus Pop being an idiot at the end.
It's all about the ending. I'd take a year like the ones in the 1980s where I get to move on with my life by January as opposed to getting riled up and giddy through June only to have my heart shattered and dreams crushed at the very bitter end.
I can see that p.o.v. Though, I don't think I share it.
Yes. The blame goes to Pop. He cut Jackson without a replacement. We could have had another defender out there and another 3 point threat.
Pop is also the same guy who 'brilliantly' decided not to play Duncan when we need a rebound most!!
I admit, when I first saw this thread I thought Al Qaeda or ISIS.
Hate to hate on Pop given all he's done for this team; but yea those moves were boneheaded.
