So David Lee starts then?

INJURY REPORT - LaMarcus Aldridge (rest) and Danny Green (left quad strain) are both out for tonight's Spurs-Heat game.
4 games into the season, smmfh. Pop is embarrassing himself.
Embarrassing tbh
Hopefully Dedmon starts. Whiteside is a known Pau killer
I thought it would be Pau, but he could use time getting acclimated.
I see popovich is starting his bull early in the seson. Why does a player dead in his prime need rest by the 4th game?
Really weird I agree with Gambit... to see Pau playing and LMA resting...
LMA also rested preseason do you guys remember that?
Pop has some CIA stuff up his sleeve on this one. Dedmon test? I don't know.
This is the sort of thing that extended Duncan's career for three to four seasons. I can't believe what re s you all are.
Pop doesn't give a about these early games.![]()
I don't know why people are still confusing CIA bull with senior moments.
There is zero correlation that suggests resting a player for an entire game is more beneficial than allowing them to play while managing their minutes throughout the course of an 82 game season. All that rest didn't benefited the Spurs one bit the last two postseasons.
Bertans likely playing then... BillMc
What extended Duncan's career is that he stayed in shape during the off season and he never depended on athleticism. Resting a few games per season is not gonna give you 19/20 year longevity if you don't keep your body in shape. Plus duncan played thru 2 lockout seasons and only played in 1 olympics while turning down others. Popovich resting Duncan 6 or 7 games a season had VERY VERY little to do with his 19 year career. Think about it and get back with me.
Resting players during back-to-backs matters. Cuts a lot of wear and tear as a player ages. Postseason success is completely irrelevant. You guys are utter morons about this, I'm almost embarrassed for you.
Pop really wants to lose a game.
Duncan played as many minutes as he wanted and in as many games...He was playing more minutes at age 33 than Leo ard at 25 or Aldridge at 32.
This is just Pop trying to show the world how good he is...He's probably gunning for COY
By resting Aldridge, an offensive safety net is removed. Perhaps Pop wants to simulate an Aldridge injury to see how the rest of the team responds without a key piece. Better to do so earlier in the season to work out a solution sooner than later.
The three championship spurs from 2003-2007 never micromanaged their star players as much as Today's Pop.
I honestly think this whole his "system" is so good fiasco is getting into his head.
And people when me, Apo and others say that Pop needs to get over himself..
Pathetic ..He has absolutely made mockery of this rest shtick..
Pop wants the team to get off to a better start.
TD was playing 34 mpg with one leg at age 34 and still managed to pay till he was 40...
But a 31 year old should rest and play 29mpg at the 4th game of the season.
Guys, it's the 4th game in 6 nights...
All these "rest / DNP" also gives more playing time to other players, it's a good thing in the end.
Spurs aren't running a senior day care. Believe it or not, the Spurs are still trying to win championships. Ginobili's been resting b2b's for years and for the last two postseason, he was benched due to lack of productivity. It's understandable resting Parker and/or Ginobili early in the season (even though I don't agree with it) because both played all summer long. However, Aldridge, at 31, not 41 didn't.
