East vs West regular season paper tigers going at it tonight.

So their record is not as good against good teams as it is against bad teams?
Shocking.
So, does this mean Facilitator Parker tonight?![]()
Raptors usually beat the Spurs in Toronto and lose in SA..the Spurs have been one of the few teams that get owned by Valenciunas for whatever reason
It's going to be strange watching a softer big than Pau on the opposing team..
Calling your team a "paper tiger" in the game thread le isn't exactly team spirit. Bad karma.![]()
Parker is averaging 18.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 5.3apg on 51.6% over his last 4 games. Going to need that production today, tbh...
This one's gonna be tough, but a great game to watch
And it's live on tv, good stuff
head of the snake doin' head of the snake stuff
tonigh, he is gonna take a back seat tbh and let Kawhi shine
Seems legit
Especially since the whole "paper tiger" thing spawned from a ty article saying the Spurs have been pretenders since 2011.
It's not like the Spurs went WCF, Finals (and one goddamn rebound from winning), and a championship over that stint or anything.
I could see people TRYING to make that argument over a LaMarcus led team, but even that would be foolish. We've seen only one postseason run with LMA in which he was playing with a busted shooting hand, and ran into a bad matchup in OKC who, coincidentally, were one win away from taking down the best regular season team of all time and making the Finals themselves.
And OKC, coincidentally benefitted from that horrific McCutchen call on Danny Green for getting hip checked by Steven Adams into a shooting Kevin Durant with a minute to go in a 90-90 tie in Game 5.
Spurs are trash if they don't win by 10+
Who was he talking about? Tim?
Great player and even better teammate. Kawhi knows, tbh...
True, it is called having a grip with reality from my own perspective/opinion ofc..I am not fooled by gaudy reg season/Ratings anymore..
Beat the Clips or GSW in the playoffs and leave me eating crow; I would be glad to..From Pop down to Forbes, I only trust Kawhi/Green to show up in the playoffs right now..
Yea...
I watched the youtube on that link.
Even though the Spurs haven't lost at home to the Raptors in over 9 years, it's almost always a struggle against them, this is the best team they've ever had and they're in search of a signature win, so I fully expect them to play out of their minds.
This should be a play through Aldridge in the post game, especially if Patterson can't go. Siakam, Nogueira and Poeltl, are all light weights, that he should be able to bully on the block.
