Premature af
This was the first time I've been able to see him play cause I couldn't get any of the preseason games. I was pleasantly surprised. His ability to keep his dribble alive, awarness on the court and even a little ability to get to the rim and finish. Don't know if he can shoot or not, but if he started we could still have Patty off the bench (even though I realize never happen cause of the front offices loyalty).
Reminded me of a poor man's Steve Nash (except for the shooting).
He wasn't especially impressive in preseason, but I saw him play several times the last couple of years. To me, he's a textbook backup PG. Even if Pop decides to let Patty try his hand at starting, Tony isn't going anywhere. But Lap is pretty damned good PG insurance, which is something most teams don't have. I would expect to see the bench go small, and have both Patty and Lap on the floor at times.
At this point my frustration with Tony has me grasping at any hope for change.
Certainly looks like our best defensive PG. Strong, stayed in front of his man and fought through screens.
nico can become what De Colo was supposed to be, tbh
