But they'll play golf with him.
ESPN NBA analyst Jalen Rose says we should expect championship players from pro sports teams that are invited to the White House for presidential recognition to skip the festivities under Donald Trump’s presidency.
Speculating on how the election will affect the NBA and sports in general, Rose said on “NBA Countdown” Wednesday: “What we’re going to see in professional sports — NBA and NFL — mark my words, there will be players that decline the opportunity to visit the White House under his presidency.”
“And a lot of players will take that right,” concurred fellow analyst Chauncey Billups.
Rose’s comments came after an invective by Stan Van Gundy earlier in the day in which the Detroit Pistons coach called the president-elect “openly and brazenly racist and misogynistic.” Steve Kerr, coach of the 2015 NBA champion Golden State Warriors, concurred.
Nah, they will all go to visit his daughter.
Oh no! Guess we should have voted for open borders and TPP, then.
Get ing real! These celebrities still haven't realized that their political views don't matter.
If anything they're outing themselves on who was in on the take imo
No one gives two s what Jalen Rose thinks, about basketball or otherwise.
Damn, son...![]()
Exactly, two faced jerks. Trump is the president elect now, put the past aside and see if you like him as president. BTW, I know he has made racist comments before but I don't think he is a racist at all. Players not showing up at the White House to meet the president is also a disrespect for people of this country.
Hopefully he's right. I wouldn't want to visit that racist piece of .
Tom.brady didn't visit the Whitehouse when the Pats won the superbowl. I can see NBA players doing the same
Brady is a ing AL OAT, he can do what he wants
NBA ratings will go the way of NFL ratings if they start up with the childish antics.
no..
The NBA's ratings are driven by young people and minorities, unlike the NFL and it's reliance on middle-aged white men..
If not ratings, then ticket sales.
Not Kawhi.
Trump is absolutely a racist, tbh, no denying it..Hillary is clearly a racist, as well..
The problem with these NBA players and celebrities as that they're living in a bubble, in a fairy land, as are the majority of liberals..they believed that they could eliminate racism/sexism by shaming people and shutting them up, not realizing that they only exacerbated the problem and angered a significant % of the white population, including white women(although "racism" and "sexism" has been overplayed as the reason Trump won, it goes far deeper than that)..
Last people I look to for advice on politics and real life, Celebrities.....
You're never winning another le in the next 4 years anyway
For once I sort of agree with you.
Trump is a product of political correctness going overboard. These public shamings of anyone with a different view point than yours, be it sexual orientation, religion, gender, race, created a huge number of silent majority that didn't dare say anything deemed politically incorrect, but chose to go with the most political incorrect person as a giant middle finger to those vocal liberals.
