Really if the Spurs can catch the Dubs in the standings that 4-1, will bolster a strong argument for Kawhi. If by hook or by crook Spurs get the 1, Kawhi could really win it.

As it is, the only reason I'd go out of my way to watch is if they actually turned Kawhi loose to play defense, which is usually not a part of the AS Game. Kawhi won't win it regardless. Everyone views Pop as the sole reason behind the Spurs' success the past few years so in that scenario they'd just give him another COTY.

To some degree this also harms the Spurs rep when it comes to getting good FA's granted SA before they got LMA they never attracted all-star players. This however will definitely hurt because now players will definitely fearing losing their all-star status by joining the Spurs knowing that it's very difficult for two players to average 20 or more in the spurs offensive system.

How the did the donkey beat out Gobert. Gobert is a FAR better defender and now even a much better offensive player. More PPG, more blocks, more rebounds and a far better shooting percentage than donkey's.
