Yep, as I've been saying for a minute, he's the most influential player of his era, only Kobe and AI are in the discussion, tbh..

In terms of Spurs of the previous era:

    1. Manu
    2. Parker
    3. Bonner

Durant's used to have a sixth starter on his teams, in addition to a seventh and eighth.

Thanks for sharing that. Durbeta probably summed up what makes Manu great and why at 39 he is still impactful. He still has games where he is off, some that are painful to watch bc his finishing at the rim is not what it used to be... but he still makes game swinging plays of that nature. And at this age, that is probably what I will miss the most bc he has given up things to father time.. but his compe ive desire is there always. One cannot doubt his desire.

I still miss Tim more than anything bc of shots he blocked and how he competed on defense. He sometimes struggled offensively, but to the bitter end one could never doubt that Tim wanted to win a game.

That kind of compe ive fire is special.

On the other side, do we have any more Pop comments where he praises the Warriors, tbh?

Of course he likes him. Manu is going to be the warriors best player if they meet in the playoffs.

Kobe wasn't influential. He was merely a Jordan clone.

Just google #MambaMentality You can argue about whether it's warranted, but it's certainly the case.

You missed my point. If you're a clone of someone, you can't claim to be truly "influential." Kobe was influenced by Jordan, as was Iverson, and they passed on the meme. At best, they were indirectly influential.

"Mamba mentality" is just the Jordan mentality rehashed. Those kids might not realize it, but they're actually idolizing Jordan via Kobe.
