No. Draft picks are more valuable than ever if you draft someone who can contribute in the first three years of their contract.
Can u see them trading it for cash or for more future pics? I take it they don't have much money so that's why I wouldn't put it past them. Or draft and stash?

If anything we should be trying to get more picks.
This would be a good year to pick up a value big. So yeah, they'll probably dump it.![]()
Trade fathead.
I'm all for this. Why waste anymore time on Fathead when you can get another pick to draft a player with more upside? It's not like Fathead is a real factor anyway.
But would any team actually be willing to give up a pick for Q-Tip head?![]()
Hopefully those analytic guys looked at fathead these playoffs.![]()
Keep it and draft either
Guard - Josh Hart or
Center - Isaiah Hartenstien
Probably gonna draft Radislava Bromokovovich from some eastern European country anyways
I agree.
Realistic picks at #29 include guard PJ Dozier and center Jonathan Jeanne. Both have very high upsides
Remember when the magic leaked a picture of their big board? Anderson was on there as a stretch 4 trade prospect. I say trade him for their second round pick. Still a lot of value in the early second round plus it's a non guaranteed contract so we can stash them if we don't like what we see in summer league.
if they pick those two guys then no I don't want them to keep it.
Spurs I think are going to be a part of the trade show this month I hope we can come away with either moving up in draft or extra picks.
I think this is the plan.
If we carry two rookies in Multinov and Hanga next year, I can see them moving it. Regardless I like the idea of flipping it for a team with multiple second rounders (like Orlando), but if they carry 2 rooks it'd be good to restock the stash cubboard.
Especially if they get the sense Paul's interest is real they'll need to fill multiple roster spots with players on rookie or minimum deals.
If the Paul thing gains traction, I'd like to see them try to entice the Clips to do a sign and trade. Pau (assuming opt in) + Green + 29 is better than losing CP3 for nothing, especially since Danny is still an asset. This would allow Spurs to conserve the full MLE and LLE to round out a decent roster.
This is the deepest draft in years. If anything, we should be trying to trade back up into the early 2nd round. Legit talent going to still be available at 29 and into the mid-30's.
Hartenstein will be long gone by the time we pick imo. Hart will likely be there, and I'd like the pick, but I think we take a big man at 29, as there is most depth at that position.
They ususally keep it since nobody wants it. The percentage of players drafted 29th who even suit up for an NBA team is pretty small. That's why the Spurs usually use it on a foreign player they don't have to bring over or pay. And the compe ion for those foreign players is getting hot these days since the Spurs were so successful scouting that market.
Unless they package it for a better pick or to dump someone yes. Hopefully Jordan Bell is there
I'd happily trade 29 + Kyle to Orlando for 33 and 35.
That'd give Orlando three 1st rounders, and us a chance to get two bites at the apple in the same range.
Signing 2nd round picks would require cap space or money from exceptions. I don't think it's likely they go this route.
