    If your PG is rebounding at that high of a rate, especially defensively, that’s first of all a big indictment of your frontcourt players’ defensive rebounding. And it probably means your PG is often collapsing in off his man from the perimeter, which is not necessarily something you want in today’s game where three pointers are so prevalent and offensive rebounding often leads to scramble situations where players can get wide open three point looks.

    The one good thing about guard rebounding is they can push the ball right away for more transition opportunities, the way RW and LeBron and Green often do off of defensive boards. But if it compromise the perimeter defense, it’s not solely a positive thing.
